IT’S A NEW YEAR!
As January 1, 2026 comes to a close, I've been bustling around organizing files, planning upcoming events and listing 2 new patterns!
Some may remember and took advantage of a week long free sew~along at the end of November called The Peppermint Boys. I made 3 short videos that are still available on my YouTube Channel. The pattern instructions are now available on my website for $10 (digital pdf’s only at this time). These boys are so fun and cute and perfect to display through Valentine’s Day! Quilt Measures 48” x 28”
My newest pattern is called Christmas Cheer…i know, that was last month, last year. LOL… But this pattern is so versatile! Valentine’s is the next decorating holiday and this pattern lends itself to the perfect wall hanging. It is available now… find out more at the bottom of this post.
The Christmas Cheer pattern is made up of simple wreath blocks sewn together to make a warm inviting Christmas quilt.
As much as i love the simplicity of this, i thought….wouldn’t it be fun to add something special inside the wreaths??
There’s an Ornament, a Candle, a Christmas Light, a Bell, a Tree and of course a Cross.
These blocks can be made into a single wall hanging size as shown above, or in a set of 3 seen in the Valentine version or throughout the entire quilt.
**The Christmas Cheer pattern can be purchased for $10 (digtial download) which will have the instructions for a single wreath wall hanging plus the full quilt measuring 46” x 58”. The Christmas Cheer pattern does not include the smaller blocks inside the wreath centers as seen on the left.
The smaller motif blocks are made to fit right into the center of a wreath and will be available at the end of January for $2 each…or $11 for all 7 blocks which also includes the hanging heart shown in the Valentine quilt.
You can pick and choose which blocks work best for you! Here’s a look at a favorite… I can see this at Easter Time!
Or perhaps the 4th of July!
If you would like to make any of these quilts using the smaller motifs inside the wreaths, the Christmas Cheer pattern is necessary. It is the foundation for which these smaller blocks make their way into your quilt.
Like i mentioned…the 6 blocks will be available for purchase at the end of January. However, through the month of January, i am including the Hanging Heart block in the Christmas Cheer pattern and no extra cost. And now you are all set for a new Valentine quilt!
Most of the the quilt images use my talented friend Renee Nanneman’s new fabric line called Always and Forever. You can find it at Need’l Love Ain’t it the sweetest?!
Most importantly, i wish to thank everyone who supports my business whether you are an individual purchasing patterns, shops that buy my Riley Blake Fabric lines and patterns, other fabric manufactures that reach out and ask me to ‘recolor’ my patterns in their upcoming lines, the wholesale companies that ship my patterns all over the place…quilt shops and guilds that invite me to speak and teach and to all my industry quilt friends who encourage me! You all give me goosebumps!
Happy New Year! ~karen
