I designed Wings of Freedom with the America 250 Celebration in mind…but the eagles have a very special meaning to me.
My father died almost 2 years ago at home on our family farm. I walked the farm quite often and a couple months prior to his death, i was visited by 3 eagles more than once or twice. It was curious to me because there were always 3. The morning my dad passed away 8 eagles circled over his home. At the time his body was taken from the house, 3 eagles broke away from the rest and followed him down the driveway. My dad was a humble farmer and this was a majestic send off! This may sound like a made up story, but it truly was very personal moment making the name Wings of Freedom a gift to my father.
Wings of Freedom is all traditionally pieced. No special rulers needed. Pattern has multiple diagrams with clear instructions. Measures 54” x 54” but can easily be made into a runner or individual pillows,… or whatever suits you!
