Hello, dear friends, and welcome!
Many of you will remember back in 2020, when Covid cases were rising and we were all tucked behind closed doors. I designed the Hi Neighbor Hot Pad during that time as a little reminder that we were still connected. So many of you stitched them up and shared them with neighbors and loved ones to say, we are all in this together.
Now here we are in 2026. The pandemic is behind us, and what a joy it is to be together. It feels like the perfect time to share this free pattern again, this time in celebration.
This year, we have an extra reason to celebrate — the homecoming of Jenny and Ron Doan after their two-year mission trip. To honor their return, Renee Nanneman of Need’l Love created a special presentation called Coming Home, for the 2026 Missouri Star Birthday Bash. The Hi Neighbor hot pad felt like the perfect small project for the occasion — each one made in different fabrics, as unique as the maker, yet all stitched together by our shared love of quilting.
Thank you for being here to celebrate with us. I hope you will enjoy making this little hot pad and sharing it once again. Instructions for an entire village is included too!
With love,
karen
